1st Annual NCGO Fall Fling
|
The North Carolina Geocachers Organization is hosting its
first annual Fall Fling Event!
9/11/06 Update: Bring Chairs! The shelter
we are in does not have nearly enough seats for the numbers
expected.
Also, post a will attend log with the number of people coming by
September 16 if you want to have dinner!
In early September, NCGO celebrates its 1st anniversary as an
organization. This event is to celebrate that achievement and to
say thanks to all of those who have supported us with money, time,
advice, participation and in so many other ways. And yes, it's also
a convenient excuse to get lots of geocachers together for some
comraderie and fun!!!. Out of state cachers, new cachers, old hands
and even the curious are welcome to attend and we hope you do.
Please post a will attend log to let us know if you can come,
how many people will eat dinner (adults/kids) and if you will be
camping either night. After all, you wouldn't want us to run
out of food before you got any now would you?!

listing to your watchlist by clicking here. |

hear your name drawn!
|
Camping |
The camping is rustic.
Cedarock Park park has a tent camping area, for FREE that is
a short ways from the parking area for any one interested. Camping
is 1st come 1st serve, but that is no problem, there are always
empty sites. There is no electricity, running water, or showers,
but there are restrooms with running water about 1000 feet from the
camp sites. These sites are close to the parking area - guessing
about 1500 feet. There are fire rings for us to use.
Bring tents and all the stuff that goes with it. Don't forget
flashlights/lanterns, water, cards or other games to play, etc.
Also bring some good stories or jokes! Bug spray is a must!
