Geocache Description:

Ten Hills Trail Challenge #6

This is one of a series of caches along the Ten Hills Trail and several of its tributary trails. The Ten Hills Trail is a trail about 4 miles long from Redwood Road to the Ranger Station above Lake Chabot.

You can park at the staging area on Redwood Road or on the street close to the Ten Hills Trail Head at Redwood Road. Or, you can park at the Ranger Station above Lake Chabot off Lake Chabot Road. You can also do half from one end and half from the other like I did. Either way you will walk about the same distance.

This trail has some very interesting areas which is the purpose of this hike. The wild flowers are blooming and you will find many along the trails as well as in the several meadows along this hike. I put in about 6 miles hiding the caches. Obviously you don't have to do them all at one time.

Awesome lake view.

There is considerable Poison Oak along the main trails and in the area of some of the caches. If you are careful it can easily be avoided.

The caches are 5"x8"x2" plastic boxes, cammo'd (some uniquely). Please take the time to replace the lids carefully. They will seal very nicely when closed correctly - thank you for your help keeping these cashes clean and dry.
