Murder On The EY&P Express
Well it is not quite murder, more like involuntary vechicular
GPSrslaughter.
This is the
Final Waypoint that this unit has marked. This
GPSr has had a busy 6 months. It has been seen tumbling down a
cliff that I am afraid to turn into a cache. It laughed out loud
when I dropped it on asphalt at over 50Km/Hr off of my bike( I was
going down a big hill). However it did not do well when I drove
over it today.
As I was driving away from this hide I reached over to GOTO the
next Waypoint when I realized my GPSr was last seen averaging away
on my hood!!!!!! I promply drove back and picked up my friend. He
was still beeping gently but could not comunicate at all. I was
sure he could sense that I was with him. I quickly got him on life
support(USB) and he coughed up just enough of the waypoint to make
a puzzle cache out of it. During his death throws he said the
decimal minutes for the Westing are .800. The Northing was
illegible, one last beep to say don't let this one slip away,
and then he slipped away from me.
I remembered that this Cache is placed directly on the centre of
the old rail grade for the EY&P railway. I could not get
a Northing out of the unit but research does tell me that it is at
a point that is the furthest south that the railway ever went.
Please find this cache, if not for me, but for my poor
departed GPSr.
