Old Man of the Lake Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

oweninewo: Went down on Saturday to have a look for the cache but it appears to have vanished without a trace. Am heading back to university this week so won't get a chance to replace it, and am therefore archiving it.

Geocache Description:

Located at the site of the largest and oldest live Oak Tree in Redditch, which is a short distance from one of the many trails around the lake along a dirt path.

Cache is a few minutes walk from the Holloway Drive Car Park, but if you're looking for a wander then there is a circular route starting from the Battens Drive Car Park which incorporates lovely trails alongside the lake and through woodlands and meadows.

If you've got time the Visitor Centre is definitely worth a visit, and there's a playground nearby to entertain children.

Hidden by the Redditch District Explorers, the cache is a small Tupperware box packed full of goodies including:

Logbook (and pen!),
bracelets,
a watch,
several keyrings,
several small statues
and several badges.
