The Morgan Hill station was part of the San Francisco to Gilroy extension added in 1992 to serve south bay commuters. Four trains run approximately every half hour northbound during the morning commute hours and another four trains run approximately every half hour southbound during the evening commute hours. Presently, there is no weekend service.
From late May through October on Saturday mornings, you can shop at the farmer's market located in the station's parking lot. Year around, weather permitting, on Saturdays and Sundays from dawn until mid-afternoon, you may find some good deals on geocaching trinkets and containers at the Morgan Hill Flea Market located northwest of here.
The cache is in a 4" high x 6" diameter Rubbermaid container with a blue rim. Initial contents included:
- Mini-slinky
- Cube ball puzzle
- Top
- Car
- Lamb pez
- Piglet
- Duck keyring
- Geocache note
- Logbook and pens
1/19/04 - Changed container to a 4" x 3" x 6" cammo painted mayonnaise container to hopefully dissuade any future plundering by geomuggles. New logbook added
