This cache has been archived.

MN.Fruitcake: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact me (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

***NOTE: If you have any questions, do not reply to the archive note email. Click on the link to go to the cache page and click on my name in the archive log at the bottom of the page. You can then send me an email regarding the cache. Please send me a link to the cache in question so I will know which cache it is regarding. I will not see notes posted to this cache page once it is archived.

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

Located along the Luce Line Trail. An unactivated TB is there for the FTF! Congratulations to rickrich for the FTF at 5:50pm. Just 43 minutes after publication. That's geocaching! He left the TB for STF.

Although not currently located near a major transportation hub, for a short time, Stubbs Bay was once the western terminus of the Luce Line Railroad. A pretty busy place for early travelers in the region. It would have been a perfect place for a hotel, wouldn't you say? Now there's a quiet resting place for TBs and other trackables on the Luce Line.

This is a large container that can hold trading items and trackables. If approached from the east, high banks and tree cover along the trail may cause poor GPS readings. Read hint if needed. Please cache softly. There's no need to tear apart any likely hiding spots while looking for the cache. When replacing the container, don't push too hard, we'll lose it.

Parking, porta-potty, water available in Orono City park located on Stubbs Bay Road.
