Can be hiked-to from the W end of Vanowen St. in West Hills. It's a
camoed heavy duty plastic container about the size of a deck of
cards but 3x as thick.
On my first hike from the E into the former Ahmanson Ranch I saw a
small concrete foundation 2 steps off the trail. My guess is that
it "slipped thru" from a parallel universe where the fight against
the Ahmanson development project was lost. Don't linger in case it
(and you) get sucked back into that unhappy universe.
Where does this trail lead? Don't know. Please explore further
West and place caches long the way!!

March 22, 2009 by haasemonkey (57 found) Found it. The log and cache contents were soaked. Did our best to create a temporary makeshift log and wrap the logs in plastic bag. used a rubber bracelet to help keep the cache container closed. should be ok now. could use a replacement log.
