Saxon, Ducks and Rock and Roll Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lactodorum: Hi, this looks like the cache needs some TLC. Could the owner please undertake a maintenance visit to check it out and replace any damaged items. In the meantime I'm archiving it but I'll happily consider unarchiving it if/when it's sorted assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Thanks, Lactodorum

Geocache Description:

Nice easy hike alongside the Avon. Check out the ruins.

OK, we admit you may need to bring your own rock and roll.

Possible parking available in lay by close to (N 52 18.056’ W 001 34.522’) at the ‘Saxon Mill’ or at the pub itself for 'patrons'. There is a footpath down the right hand side of the pub which gets you started. The ruins on the opposite side of the river are also close to Guys Cave, where a hermit used to live. There is an associated legend but only heard second hand so if you know more please let us know and we’ll post here. Cache is a medium Tupperware box, hopefully high enough above the waterline to avoid floods.

Hope you enjoy,

Zcat.
