If you are new to the exciting world of geocaching this event
is a great place to meet fellow cachers with like interests. Be
sure to say hi to me and if you want to meet someone in particular
let me know and I'll try to point you in the right direction. If
you're an old hand at geocaching then this is the place to meet up
with folks you may not have seen in a while. Either way this is
your chance to start the day with a hot breakfast and friendly
conversation and then as much geocaching as your heart desires so
come on down to Bollingbrook and have breakfast with me.
The last two years we've had approximately 120 geocachers
including their friends and family turn out to meet fellow cachers
for a hearty breakfast and a bit of chatter about their favorite
pastime. Many folks teamed up to go geocaching for a few hours or
even into the night. I hope you'll mark the date on your calendar
and join me for another fun time in the blustery burbs.
This year is the year of the snow globe. Snow globes come in
many sizes, shapes and colors and have all sorts of themes. If you
visit Millennium Park in Chicago you've seen one of the worlds largest snow globes though
you may not have realized it at the time.

Travel Bugs &
Geocoins:
Travel bugs and Geocoins by design are a risk, you purchase them,
give them a mission and send them off to fend for themselves. You
are welcome to bring travel bugs and geocoins to this event but no
special measures will be taken to insure their safety, it's just
like dropping them in an ammo box in the woods. That is all part of
the adventure of travel bugs and geocoins.
Will there be
snow?:
If you would like to help insure there will be snow and have a
little fun along the way check out this snow
globe web site and be sure to shake the globe a lot!
There are also web sites where you can make a snowman and make a
snow
flake. I enjoy seeing your art work so if you make something on
one of these sites please share it in note on the cache page.
The snow globe theme was suggested by Tishman, thanks tishman!
If anyone has an idea for a theme in 2010 please send me a note.
I've used snow flake, snowman and now snow globe in other
years.
