This cache is hidden near the northwestern-most corner of the
park, but well out of view of the houses to the west. This is a
nice area to get away from other people; I had this whole area all
to myself. I was surprised to discover this rock outcropping as I
was wandering around, and thought others might enjoy it too. During
the rainy season the wash drains through a small canyon of sorts,
and the bowl-shaped depressions become large pools of water. I
wouldn't recommend swimming in them, though.
I followed a narrow trail to the cache site, but admittedly got
a bit turned around on my way back and returned via a somewhat
different and more confusing route. So be aware of where you're
going, and don't bushwhack.
The cache is a camo'd Lock-n-Lock container tucked away amongst
the rocks. Hopefully it won't be too difficult, but satellite
reception can be a bit spotty at ground zero. I only had 40 feet
accuracy at GZ but took my readings from a higher elevation. Think
like a cacher and you'll have it in your hands in no time.
Good luck, and happy caching!
