Beautiful views of Coffs Harbour - PARADISE!!!
Cache is a Tupperware type container with a Green lid.
Contents are many and varied.
To find the cache turn west off the Pacific Highway at
S30 15.914 / E153 07.803 near the Novotel (Bruxner Park turn off). Follow the road upwards through the bananas and avacados until you reach the road junction at S30 15.103 /
E153 06.465. Turn left and follow the road to the carpark at
S30 15.989/ E153 06.567. Park the car and enjoy the spectacular view of Coffs Harbour. Walk back in a generally north-nor east direction till you abeam the point where the access road enters the carpark. (About 75metres). Turn west and move down the hill about 40 metres past a grove of Cycads and Grass Trees, crossing a reasonably noticeable track along which you will find two gate posts. The cache is located within 15 metres downhill of the gateposts in the uphill end of a hollow log and covered with bark. This is a new location for this cache as of the 27th of October 2009. The cache had been in situ (20 metres further up the hill) since 2002 and the original log had rotted away. Would appreciate it if you could add a bit more bark to the pile to protect and hide the cache as it started to pour with rain as I re-hid the box. I'll get back down to Coffs in a couple of weeks to replace the log book, so if you find it in the mean time, please leave a note.
If it's been wet there is a possibility that there may be the odd leach or two....take some salt, just in case. If it has been dry for a while, some previous cache seekers have mentioned ticks. Check yourselves for beasties when you get back to the carpark.
