Ichiro Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Rontro: Well, I checked on this one and it is completely gone. there is not even the fence post top left to rebuild it. So it is with a sad farewell I have to let this one go. It had a great run. But I can't repair what it completely gone.

My Thanks to Cacheper for creating this cache and allowing me to take care of it as long as I did.

Geocache Description:

Very nice park to play with your dogs or a few innings of baseball. This cache was created by Cacheper. I adopted it from him in December of 2007. Many thanks to him for making a great cache. Enjoy!

Ichiro Suzuki: often known simply as Ichiro, is a Japanese outfielder for the Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball team. He was born October 22, 1973, in Toyoyama, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Ichiro moved to the United States in 2001 after playing nine years for the Orix Blue Wave in Japan's Pacific League. When the Blue Wave posted him after the 2000 season, Ichiro's rights were won by Seattle and he signed a contract with the Mariners. He became the first Japanese-born everyday position player in the Major Leagues. Ichiro did not miss a beat in his transition. He immediately established himself as one of the premier players in the Major Leagues, surpassing his accomplished career in Japan. 2004 was his most impressive offensive season, as he set several MLB records, including a new all-time, single-season Major League record with 262 hits. Ichiro, equipped with one of the strongest and most accurate throwing arms in the league, is generally recognized as one of the best defensive outfielders in baseball. He has won a Gold Glove award in each of his first seven years in the majors, all seven as an outfielder. He was also voted the 2007 All Star Game MVP, going three for three and hitting the event's first ever inside-the-park home run.

The Cache Location: To start this cache you should head to the parking coordinates listed below, this is the best place to park. From here it is just a short walk. You're not exactly looking for a micro but it's not all that big either. There is room for the log book, a couple of pens, and some small trade items. You're going to have to be very sneaky in searching this one out. You'll be in a very high foot traffic area with lots of activity. It's best to find this one during the early morning or late evening. Spring and summer are going to be the busiest times for this area. During weekends this cache, like a Randy Johnson fastball, may be untouchable. No fouls on this one please, replace it just as you found it. I dedicate this cache to you baseball greats, gardeners, super cachers and even better people.

Keep me posted on how you do on this one and… oh yeah, when Ichiro first came to MLB he played right field.
