When I was a child, I grew up in this neighborhood. Everyday, racing home from school with my siblings, we would stop at Wertz's Market, a small corner grocery store that sold everything from soup to nuts, gas and especially candy. Mr.Wertz was always there in his white apron. We would sit on the front steps and wait for the bus in the summer time and inside the front door ,nice and cozy in the winter time in the 1960's . Now, the corner store is torn down,it's space is a donated park for walkers, joggers and just about everyone who just want to sit awhile. It still holds nice memories. FTF gets a Sacajewa dollar.
