Geocache Description:

This cache will bring you to the Palmyra-Eagle School District's nature trail.  The trail is maintained by the district's ground crew and boasts a nice wide path and plenty of wildlife to admire.  This looping trail will take you past woods, wetlands, ponds and prairies.

The newly constructed Palmyra-Eagle Sports Complex funded by donations from Standard Process, Inc will offer the community several new soccer fields, a baseball diamond, softball diamond, concession building, restrooms and a new parking lot.  After learning about this development, we decided to explore the adjacent area and found this wonderful trail.   In an effort to pay tribute to the new baseball diamond, we wanted to hide an appropriately titled cache.  We were "in a pickle" when deciding the location for this particular cache, but settled on a spot far enough from our other caches and not too far off trail.  Not much bushwacking when the cache was placed, but we aren't sure how the spring and summer months will change the environment.

Please park on the right-hand side of the Palmyra-Eagle Middle/High School building.  The trail entrance is located just a short distance away, near the rail road tracks and a large, green utility box.

Permission to place this cache granted by the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District Superintendent, Mr. Glenn Schlender.
