Tyche is an object believed to be influencing the orbits of comets in the Oort cloud. The name Tyche comes from the Greek goddess Nemesis, the "good sister". This object, if it exists, would, like Nemesis, have an orbit hundreds of times longer than that proposed for Nibiru, and never come near the inner Solar System.
Scientists may soon be able to prove the existence Tyche, which would be a gas giant four times the size of Jupiter. Tyche will almost certainly be made up mostly of hydrogen and helium, have an atmosphere much like Jupiter. It is 15,000 times further from the sun than Earth, lying in the Oort cloud.
The Oort cloud is the outer shell of asteroids in our solar system. This will explain the change in paths of comets entering the solar system. Many 2012 theorist believe the Mayans predicted that the Tyche is lining up comets to sling shot into the inner solar systems and will take out Earth. The Skeptics say this is rubbish!
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
