Geocache Description:

Gentle climb to the cache.

A shakehole is a depression in the limestone landscape. In some limestone areas there is a covering of boulder clay about two or three metres thick. Shakeholes are formed where surface water washes the boulder clay down into cracks or fissures in the limestone under the boulder clay. They are usually found in groups. Cavers have to dig the boulder clay out to see if there is a pothole of any size underneath.

There is a buggy friendly track running from a small quarry just down the road from the car park that you would have to leave about 3/4 of the way up to the cache. As it is a quiet area you could probably leave any buggy at the point where you would leave the track and keep it in sight the whole time.

The cache is at the bottom of the clitter and is stuffed with as many goodies as we could manage
