Súradnice Vás privedú do centra Bratislavy pred Chrám povýšenia svätého kríža, ktorý bol postavený v roku ABCD. Za chrámom sa rozprestiera rozlahlý Ondrejský cintorín, ktorý bol založený v roku 1784. Pre svoje prírodné hodnoty a celkové kompozicné clenenie je evidovaný ako historická zelen. Pozývame Vás do neho na prechádzku.
Vchod na cintorín, na ktorom sa už dnes nepochováva a slúži ako oddychový a pietny park, je situovaný vpravo od kostola. Návštevné hodiny sú na priloženom obrázku. Priamo oproti vchodu na prvej križovatke chodníkov je umiestnený orientacný plán so zoznamom tu pochovaných významných osobností.
Cestovatel Karl Jetting (1730-1790) pochádzal z rodiny bratislavského remeselníka a pôsobil ako pisár vo Viedni a v Londýne. Neskôr ako diplomat v službách anglickej vlády prebrázdil svetové moria a zažil tajuplné dobrodružstvá i záhady na brehoch Afriky. Jeho zaujímavé osudy i život stroskotanca (údajne nedaleko Malty) podobný Robinsonovmu románovo spracovali niekolkí autori. Bratislavskému Robinsonovi na pamiatku postavila mestská rada v roku 1844 náhrobok na Ondrejskom cintoríne.
Dalšou z mnohých významných osobností, ktoré odpocívajú na Ondrejskom cintoríne, je slovenský politik Vavro Šrobár (1867-1950). Po roku 1918 sa stal ministrom s plnou mocou pre správu Slovenska, neskôr ministrom zdravotníctva, ministrom školstva, vedúcim predstavitelom agrárnej strany. Pocas Slovenského národného povstania bol predsedom Slovenskej národnej rady. Je pochovaný v sektore E/F.

The coordinates will lead you into the center of Bratislava in front of the Church of the Exaltation of the Venerable Cross, which was built in year ABCD. Behind the church spreads the St. Andrews cemetery, which was founded in year 1784. Thanks to the natural values and total composition structure it is registered as historic green. We invite you for a walk on this cemetery.
The entrance to the cemetery, which today does not serve for burying people and serves as a relaxing and pious park, is situated right of the church. The visitor’s hours are on the attached picture. Directly in front of the entrance on the first crossroad of the park paths is situated an orientation plan with the list of the here-buried significant personalities.
The traveler Karl Jetting (1730-1790) originated of a Bratislava handicraftsman’s family and acted as a writer in Vienna and in London. Later as a diplomat in services of the English government he plowed the world seas and experienced mysterious adventures and mysteries at the shelf of Africa. His interesting stories and also the life of a castaway /reputedly somewhere near Malta / was similar to the story of Robinson and was also processed by several authors. The municipal counsel built a gravestone on the St. Andrews cemetery in memory of this Robinson of Bratislava.
Another of the many significant personalities, which rest at the St. Andrews cemetery, is the Slovak politician Vavro Šrobár (1867-1950). After 1918 he became the minister with full power for administration of Slovakia, later the minister of public health, minister of education, a leading represent of the agrarian party. During the Slovak national uprising he was the chairman of the Slovak National Council. He is buried in sector E/F.

Die Koordinaten führen Sie ins Bratislavaer Zentrum vor die Kirche der Avancierung des heiligen Kreuzes (Chrám povýšenia svätého kríža), erbaut in ABCD. Hinter der Kirche befindet sich der große Friedhof Ondrejský cintorín, gegründet in 1784. Wegen seiner Naturwerte und Gesamtkompositionsgestaltung wird er unter "historischen Grünflächen" evidiert. Wir laden Sie zu einem Spazierhang in diesem schönen Park.
Der Eingang in den Friedhof (in welchem heutzutage nicht mehr begraben wird und der als ein Park dient) ist platziert rechts neben der Kirche. Die Öffnungszeiten sind an der beigelegten Abbildung angeführt. Direkt gegenüber dem Eingang an der ersten Pfadkreuzung befindet sich der Orientierungsplan mit der Liste der hier begrabenen bedeutenden Personen.
Der Reisende Karl Jetting (1730-1790) stammte aus der Familie eines Bratislavaer Handwerkers und arbeitete als Schreiber in Wien und London. Später kreuzte er als ein Diplomat in Diensten der englischen königlichen Majestät die Meere durch und erlebte geheimnisvolle Abenteuer an den Küsten Afrikas. Sein interessantes Schicksal und Leben eines Schiffbrüchigen (angeblich in der Nähe von Malta), ähnlich dem Schicksal von Robinson Crusoe, haben mehrere Autoren schriftstellerisch verarbeitet. Dem Bratislavaer Robinson, wie er genant wird, hat zum Andenken der Stadtrat in 1844 auf diesem Friedhof ein Denkmal erbaut.
Eine weitere der vielen bedeutenden Personen, die auf diesem Friedhof ruhen, ist der slowakische Politiker Vavro Šrobár (1867-1950).
