All you have to do to claim your FTF (no matter how many have found it before you) is come up with a unique acronym for your First To Find. Put your unique acronym at the top of your log on a line by itself, like the examples below (along with what the heck it means!):
FTFWAD - First To Find With A Dog
FTFOAT - First To Find On A Tuesday
FTFAABOOPWDBTMUAFAFTLE - First To Find After A Bunch Of Other People Who Didn't Bother To Make Up A FTF Acronym For Their Log Entry
... You get the idea - let your creative juices flow.
I can't claim this idea as my own. Several other caches are doing this too, including: I was FTF! in Arizona, Everybody gets an FTF! in Washington, and the especially delightful FTF!! FTF!! FTF!! in Portugal.
I delight in the thrill of being First To Find a cache, but don't have nearly as many as I'd like. (...darned work keeps taking up my time), and it saddens me to think of all the cachers who haven't had the good fortune to claim one too. When I saw this idea used for other caches, I thought it was clever and fun enough to borrow (which is nicer than saying "shamelessly steal").
The cache is a camouflaged ammo can, and is by a small bit of wetlands with benches to sit on and ducks, geese, and nutria to watch. Parking is quite close by, so you don't need to tromp across the grass (which is often so water-saturated that you'll drench your shoes)..
So, what are you waiting for. Go out there and claim your FTF!
