This cache is located at Indian Hill Lookout in the Nez Perce National Forest. You are looking for a 30 cal ammo can hidden in a rock outcropping. Elevation at the cache is approximately 6839'. The terrain rating is high because you will be making your way to the cache on some rather large rocks and bolders.
I placed this cache for two reasons:
First, to qualify for area 6 of Lookout Lisa's Idaho Forest Fire Lookout Challenge.
Second, to pay tribute to my best buddy, pal and all around great dog - Patch - who passed away September 6, 2007.
The contents of the cache is mostly a dog related theme, but feel free to trade non dog related items if you would like.
While at the lookout I had a nice visit with John and Judy, the husband and wife team who have staffed this lookout since 1974. To learn more about this lookout, visit Rex's Forest Fire Lookout Page.
The road up to the lookout is in very good condition and could be driven in most two wheel drive vehicles with moderate ground clearance.
