This is a fairly straight-forward placement of a small ammo box. It contains a few toys, trinkets and treasures. Be kind to it ... It has survived many "controlled burns" since 2004!! ... so if it's in-between "burns" vegetation may be a bit thick.
The cache is named after the type of Payment Stations found at some Park/Forest Entrances. This Park, Myakka State Forest, has an Iron Ranger who only wants $2. (The price went up recently but it's still "Such a bargain!!)"
There used to be ten caches in this area, but some have gone inactive.
The 2 great hiking trails (North Loop and South Loop) in the Park are included in the Florida Division of Forestry's Trailwalker Program.
Recreational opportunities here include camping, hiking, off-road bicycling, and horseback riding. The streams in the forest provide a source for fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking.
