Christopher's Loop is a 1.2 mile loop located off the Tahoe Rim Trail. You will be looking down onto the Marlette Flume trail and Sand Harbor. It is a must do when hiking this section of the TRT. There are several ways to get here but to place the cache, we came up from Ponderosa Ranch and Tunnel Creek Road. The hike is roughly 15 miles round trip with 2700' elevation gain. There are less steep approaches from Tahoe Meadows or Spooner Summit but those will add a good chunk of miles to your day. The truly insane can mountain bike to this cache. Bring your camera. The views from here are absolutely stunning. I've wanted to place a cache here ever since discovering this spot while hiking the TRT a couple of years ago.
