This cache is a 30 cal. ammo box. The cache was serviced on 3/22/03, and it's still in good shape, 6 music CD's of various kinds.
Please leave a CD or DVD if you are going to take one. (I'd like to keep a lot of "high-value targets" in there!) There's room for maybe 2 or 3 more. Also, no porno, or bootleg or copied CD's, good stuff only.
The cache is a green ammo box, neatly hidden in a place that looks like a perfect place to hide one, about 50 feet off the Blue trail. The park parking lot is across the street from Immaculate HS in Danbury. Tarrywile Park is kind of a spooky, surreal place, especially being a few blocks away from downtown Danbury. The parking lot is shared with Hearthstone Castle, a real castle built a long time ago in Danbury and is now used for receptions. Hearthstone Castle Link . You walk in through a really dark forest which is supposed to be a picnic grove, past an abandoned, trashed building of unknown purpose (it's open but I wouldn't go in!), then into a brilliant hayfield that looks like it belongs in a Steven King movie. The cache is located not too far away, but there are over 6 miles of slightly challenging trails in this park as well as two ponds full of fish and birds.
