The cache is located just off the trail as you ascent from Lake Rd to the Stissing Mountain Fire Tower within the National Natural Landmark, 530 acre Thompson Pond and Stissing Mountain Nature Preserve. Please park at the listed coordinates and begin your ascent at the trailhead across from the parking area.
Members of three Girl Scout Troops 10003, 10219 and 10087 from Northern Dutchess decided to embark on a Geocaching adventure and spent a cold, windy Sunday afternoon learning about Geocaching. Well done. The trail from Lake Rd is a steep ascent with loose rocks and can be wet at various times. You know your close when you see the pipes. The cache is a standard container hidden in your typical forest fashion. Thanks to Hummy585 for his assistance.
