Geocache Description:

The Brudklev cache is located 25 km south of Åtvidaberg. The last 30-meter you have to do some easy climbing. Because there is a cliff, look out with children. Enjoy the view and read the legend.

The legend of Brudklev (free translation)

Once a small hunchback had fallen in love with a beautiful, young girl. The being in love was not mutual. The young girl married with somebody else. The evening after the marriage the bride and groom travelled in a carriage to their new home. Their journey went across the Brudklev hill. When the carriage with the bride and groom was almost on the top of the hill, the proud hunchback, who wants to marry this girl, stood behind a juniper and jumped in front of the carriage. The horse and the driver were frightened to death and crashed from the cliff with the bride and groom. The hunchback saw which accident he had caused. He descends from the hill and walked to the Loftern lake and drowned himself.

Instead of this sad story this is a very beautiful place to sit on the bench and look at the Loftern lake, especially early in the morning and late in the evening at sunset.

Sunset at Brudklev

We made some very nice walks in the surroundings of Brudklev. We ´discovered´ the place early in the morning and decided to place our geocache on this spot, which we did on the warm and beautiful evening, with a beautiful sunset, of Sunday July 7th 2002.
The cache is a small ammunition-box. For the initial contents look at the picture.
The hitchhiker “Multipla´s World Tour” is in the box. Double points for the first finder.
