Geocache Description:

Short walk in the village of West Tanfield, some steps involved.

The Marmion Tower is the surviving 15th-century gatehouse of a vanished riverside manor house, with a beautiful oriel window. It is situated in the village of West Tanfield in the Eastern end of Wensleydale, which also has a lovely old bridge - the view from which may be familiar to lovers of Yorkshire Dales calendars!
