Red Screes is situated in the Lake District just above Ambleside and to the left of Kirkstone Pass and is 2545 feet above sea level.Geocache's can start either from Kirkstone Pass Inn or Opp Roundhill Farm
The cache is situated somewhere in the middle of the way towards the peak for the rambler and towards Ambleside for the scrambler. I have done this So the scrambler can do a nice 'Round' if they so wish and for the rambler I have made it a nice 4 mile trek to the summit and back and to take in finding the cache in the process.it is a small plastic container containing a notepad/pencil, A 'Formal countrygirl Barbie' Travel Bug who really needs to get to Utah! A Multi coloured Bouncy Ball. A Toy Dog A 'My Scene' doll and a Dory From Finding Nemo just be wary of muggles and the odd sheep and make like you are having a well deseved rest! I have been informed the pencil has now shrunk! so please bring your own to log your find
