'OCATT' stands for

This is a tribute trail for all geocachers who live and/or geocache within the confines of Westchester County in the great state of New York! This series spans over 30 miles, from Croton’s Reservoir Dam to NYC’s High Bridge. Please read the following information to ensure a positive experience with your journey.

All caches are accessible during any season and they are physically located along, but not on, the actual OCA.

Each geocache in this series was placed with utmost respect to the OCA, nearby home owners, and the potential for muggles.

The trail is generally a 1.5 (flat/unpaved) terrain, although the listed ratings are adjusted based on how difficult it will be once you break away from it.

Should you journey the OCA in its entirety, you will be presented with a generous blend of rural, suburban, and urban developments.

All containers, aside from a select few that happen to be custom fabrications, are micro test tubes. None are simply placed for all to see; every container has been handled with special care, hidden and camouflaged as a traditional geocache.

If you are looking for a quick P&G numbers crunch like other mega-series runs, this isn't it.

Should you find difficulty in your search, I have provided a hint to be used at your own discretion for each listing, although you are encouraged to do without it.

To extract the log from each geocache container, you will need to use a pair of tweezers or needle-nose pliers.

There may be thorns in some places, as well as the potential for ticks in a few others, so it is recommended to come prepared.

This is a very long trail with multiple parking options, so you are on your own for the most part. Depending on the listing I will do my best to advise where exactly to go, although the preferred option is to travel as much of it as you can without driving to each intersection.

NEW YORK ADMIN
Administrating the geocaching world of New York State since April 2004, it goes without saying, none of what we see around us would have been possible if it wasn't for the efforts of New York Admin. Not only does New York Admin review every geocache on this side of New York State, but does so under a completely incognito approach, generating the greatest mystery in all the land of who it really could be. This undertaking is completely voluntary, and a very daunting task indeed, so it seems only right to mention New York Admin along the OCATT series, for all the hard work that's been done, allowing for the rest of us to go out and have fun playing the game. With no previously logged official finds, it would be an honor for New York Admin to call this the 1 and only on record even though it's a similar OCATT to all the others, however if confidentiality is at stake, I'd definitely understand. I chose this particular location for our admin's tribute because it's a beautiful preserve to explore. The physical place where this cache resides happens to be well-rooted on these grounds, overlooking all that stands around it, much like our admin does here within New York State.
