Geocache Description:

Oil Creek State Park 2nd Annual CITO Event
Saturday, March 31, 2007 (10:00am - 4:00pm)

The posted coordinates are for the Egbert Farm Day-Use Area Pavilion. Geocachers attending this event will be assisting with a scheduled park cleanup with Pennsylvania DCNR and park volunteers. Event will begin at 10am at the Pavilion with a sign up sheet for geocachers. Areas will be assigned from there. Trash bags and gloves will be provided for all participants.

At noon geocachers will meet back at the pavilion where you will receive the coordinates to 3 NEW caches placed by the park!!! Participants helping out with this CITO event will have an opportunity to find the 3 new caches and log their name as an entry into a drawing with donations associated with each cache. Please post a note your intent to attend so that we may have an accurate count of people for lunch. PA Cleanways will be providing pizza and drinks.

If you are late you have to go to the Pavilion at the coordinates and sign-in, then PA Cleanways participation forms. There will be someone at the pavilion to shuttle any late comers over to the dumpsite. If you will be attending as a group that has members under 18, you can call Lynn at 814-432-9684 to obtain the State Park and PA Cleanways participation forms for parent permission in advance.

***UPDATE: There are a lot of thorn bushes around the dumpsite, please wear appropriate attire, i.e. jeans & sturdy footwear. There are restrooms near the pavilion if you want to change into shorts after the clean up for the afternoon.

*Please note: if you arrive fashionably late to the cleanup you will not be qualified for prizes.*

We will update this page as we get more information.

Please email me: herewego43@gmail.com if you have any questions. Raindate is scheduled for April 28th.

This event is made possible by Oil Creek State Park, PA Cleanways, and The Venango County Regional Planning Commission.
