Geocache Description:

August 18th and 19th, 2007 – Sat. and Sun. The Great Northern Tier Geocaching Tournament is back! Expert and amateur geocachers, individuals, and families are all invited to join the hunt for “caches” hidden throughout the North Quabbin Region’s forests, parks, farms and cultural sites using a hand-held GPSr (Global Positioning Satellite receiver) unit and a list of coordinates.

2007 event will be based again at Wendell State Forest.

A barbecue dinner is planned for Saturday evening at Wendell State Forest. The North Quabbin Area is an area rich in natural and cultural history. This tournament is being held to encourage entrants to come discover the wealth of opportunities to recreate and learn in this fascinating part of the state. NOTE: Keep this waypoint (GC110CC) on your watch list for updates.
