This cache should be easy to find. The terrain is mostly flat with just a few blackberries in the immediate area.
Until 1840, the site was a meadow with salty marshes in the low spots. An Indian village known as Me-Kwa-Mooks was established there, and in 1901 it was the birthplace of Chief Jim Moses, a grand-nephew of Chief Seattle. After the white settlers left Alki for the other side of Elliott Bay (now downtown Seattle), West Seattle was slow to develop and was not annexed to Seattle until 1907.When Little League began a surge in popularity in the early 1950s, community members and a sponsor of league teams asked the Park Board and offered to help acquire and/or develop a new field. The meadow owned by the city for the purpose of the sewage treatment plant was not needed, and the City Council authorized its use for 10 years as a ballfield. This is our first hide so we hope you enjoy it. You're looking for a regular sized green ammo can. Good luck and happy hunting! You can get more area history at: (visit link)
