Welcome to the Magical Land of Harry Potter in this series of caches you will have to find the Coordinates for the caches using the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (It does not matter if you uses the hardback or Paperback copy) and the hints provided. Don't worry I’m making this easy as we will only use two pages of the book. There are several ways to get a copy of the book to decipher the cords, from the Library, your kids copy, a book store, Or you can use the copy I have Placed in the Westward Ho Cache (GCP1CE) it was Placed with Permission of Spothors the cache Owner so Please don’t take the book. Onto the Story
WARNING all Magic is forbidden in the Completion of this Cache. So the use of spells, wands, Charms and Magical Items are strictly Forbidden and only non-magical Items May be used.
Harry’s Pet and Friend Hedwig was injured on one of his Many Adventures and was required to rest to recover his strength. To get him to a Safe place to do this! Dumbledore arranged to have a Hide out set up in the Woods near the Coordinates where you will start. Harry’s Friends Ron and Hermione sent their pets to watch and Keep Hedwig Company. Dumbledore also set up anti Magic spells and traps to keep Lord Voldemort's Minions away and to let Hedwig and his friends Escape if need Be.
I stumbled on the Sit by Accident as I was exploring this area looking to set up a Cache near by. There are three caches in this Series, Crookshanks Lair, Pigwidgeon’s Perch and Hedwig’s Hideout but to find Hedwig’s Hideout you first need to find the other two caches and get a part of the coordinates from each. So please have something to write on to get the coordinates.
Now how to solve the cipher using the book we will turn to the index pages Marked with the Roman numeral V and VI.
I will give you a Page Number and a Line Number and the Character Number. Starting at the top of the Correct Page, Count Down for the Line then going left to right Counting to the letter or Number. This includes Punctuation Marks but not Spaces (I.E (the Cat in the Hat!) has 15 Letters) then write that letter or Number down.
Please don’t mark up any Borrowed books. When you are done the Coordinates Will be reveled! Ok lets Start.
