Geocache Description:

A commemorative cache by StealthRT.

High clearance vehicle and 4WD highly recommended.

A long time ago… or maybe not so long ago…, in a land far far away… or maybe not so far away…, arose the gods.

gods - greek

Hundreds of gods assembled to do battle with those cachers who would rise to the challenge. From Abeona to Zisa, from Ra to Kaluannuunohonionio, they were plentiful and covered miles of land beyond what even the Groundspeak Map Ap could see.

The gods had no fear (for they left every one of their phobias in Nevada). They took camouflaged cover in powerful fortifications thought unassailable. Still it was not long before the cachers came to do battle with the gods.

Many cachers came without high clearance and quickly found the gods had bunkered in terrain rugged, jagged, and high enough to avoid confrontation with them. But, soon cachers with clearance began to arrive.

Willys Parkway B

Some, equipped directly out of the great ancient city of Toledo, with vehicles driven up Willy’s Parkway itself, arrived in TJs and LJs.

The gods trembled, but they did not retreat… for they had an unexpected secret power at their disposal… the power of minty fresh breath!

Secret Power

This created a panic among many cachers. But a brave few responded to the challenge. They did not back down. They responded the only way they knew. With bravery. With cunning. With… needle-nose pliers!

Needle Nose

For many days, weeks even, the cachers assaulted the entrenchments of the gods. They struck blow after blow after blow. Some gods disappeared and then reappeared. Cachers suffered cut tires and breakdowns. There was chaos in the desert.

Battle

This was a difficult and harrowing fight as even the caching worlds best and brightest came and assaulted the gods through sleepless nights. The battle raged on and on.

And then… one day… all fell quiet in the desert. There were no gods. There were no cachers. There were just the memories. Or were they just dreams? Were the gods ever here at all?
