Brandon's Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

geo-jenkins: Construction of the frontage road along the highway continues to make slow progress along with the SouthWest Arterial. Archiving this cache. I know there are will be plenty of spots for caches once all roadwork is done.

Thanks for the 60+ finds over the past years.

Geocache Description:

My oldest son had a great idea for a hide.
This can be visited at anytime, but can be a little more fun and spookier after the sun goes down.

When we first moved to Dubuque in 2009, this spot did not exist. The county came and redid the whole road.
They made a make-shift bridge while the road was being replaced. The temporary bridge was made of just 2 culverts covered with dirt & gravel. We had a strong rain storm, that washed away all of the dirt and gravel, leaving the culverts visible. Luckily, the old bridge had not been demolished completely yet. They were able to successfully put in the new bridge/road within a few weeks.

In the most recent rainstorms that we had in Dubuque, we had so much rain that this road was completely covered.

Hopefully, this cache should be able to withstand another storm like that

Container is man-made and just small enough for travel bugs, as long as they are not much bigger than the tag.

PLEASE put the cache EXACTLY how you found it. It's beneficial to see how the cache is place before you actually retrieve it.
