This series, FWP or Famous Wisconsin People, will acknowledge the accomplishments of some well-known (and maybe not so well-known) individuals from our state.
Christopher Crosby "Chris" Farley was an American comedian and actor who gained fame as a member of Chicago's Second City Theatre and cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1990 and 1995.
Chris was born in Madison, Wisconsin on February 15, 1964. He is a graduate of Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart and spent summers as a camp counselor in Minocqua, WI. Later, he graduated from Marquette University as a communications and theatre major. Farley met an unfortunate early death on December 18, 1997 at the age of 33 from an overdose. He was entombed at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Madison, WI. Farley’s comedic talents are greatly missed.
You are searching for a small camouflaged container placed in Stigler Nature Preserve in honor of Chris Farley’s accomplishments. There is ample parking in the lot and there are nice bark mulch and dirt paths for hiking. This is a unique and beautiful area to visit. Worth the trip!

Geocache at your own risk, be respectful of plant life, stay on the paths and obey parking regulations. Parking is located on Liberty Lane, just west of Calhoun Rd. Do NOT park at the nearby church or apartments. Park is open sunrise til 9PM. Dogs on leash are permitted. Please rehide cache as it was found so that it is not easily visible to others. Thanks!
