Scar House Traditional Geocache

This cache and six others in the area have been set up by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority with kind permission of The National Trust who own this land. Most of the caches contain the usual items PLUS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION so that you can find out more about the archaeology and history of this interesting and beautiful area.

Scar House has an early Quaker burial ground nearby.The cache is well hidden so we have attached a spoiler photo to help you. To find out more about Quaker sites in the Dales visit the Themes/Religion area of our archaeology website www.outofoblivion.org.uk

This cache can be included with others to make a wonderful circular walk, with a short deviation to the 'Packhorse Way'. If you want to bag all seven of the caches we have hidden in the area the waypoint names are in order below. The trail is about 8 miles long starting at Buckden National Park car park (charge).

There is a regular bus service to Buckden.
