Geocache Description:

Those of you who remember “Glasgow’s Miles Better” might not know that the weegie Spin-doctors are now marketing the City using the slogan “Scotland with Style” This short walk down Glasgow’s premier shopping street celebrates the City’s position as the UK’s top retail destination after London. Bring your non-caching partner and your credit card.

Go to N55 51.834 W004 15.173. This will take you to the feet of the Father of the Scottish Parliament. Add up the numbers of his birth year. Add up the 2 numbers of the result to give a single number. This is equal to “A”. Count how many times his famous quote is repeated on the plinth and multiply it by 2. This is equal to “B”.
Now walk to N55 51.658, W004 15.AA8 for a bird’s eye view of the City. Note the number for Queen Street Station This is equal to “C”. Note the number for Buchanan Street Station. This is equal to “D”. Divide the second digit of Deaf Centre by the first. This is equal to “E”.
Now down the street to N55 51.DAD W004 15.ABC where you will find the Tardis. Note the number of the third letter of the first word on the left hand painted-over plaque on the opposite side to the little door, where A=1, B=2, C=3 etc. This is equal to “F”.
A quick diversion to N55 51.DED W004 15.FFC where you will find a much loved Icon of Glasgow. Today it was the horse wearing the cone. Note the 2nd letter of his name, turn into a number as above. This is equal to “G”. Note the 5th letter of his name, turn into a number as above. This is equal to “H”. Note the 7th letter of his name, turn into a number as above. This is equal to “I”.
Back to N55 51.CAI W004 15.ADD where you will find an entrance to an arcade. Note the first digit of the address. This is equal to “J”. Note the second digit of the opening date. This is equal to “K”.
Off down to N55 51.BGG W004 15.JEH and count the number of gargoyles carved in the entrance arch. This is equal to “L”.
Getting close now, our final location before the cache is N55 51.JBE W004 15.EKF where you will find the entrance to the world’s largest. Take the three digits of the address number, add them together, then add the two numbers of the result. This is equal to “M”. Note the first number of the address. This is equal to “N”.
Now you can get the cache. It’s coordinates are: N55 51.MEN W004 15.NKA.
Your only problem will be evading the muggles. Look below your feet.
As it has been nicked three time now, It is now a very small container tucked right at the back of its niche.

Stop Press: The Father of the Parliament's statue is being removed for cleaning. They could leave the plinth intact though. If not, the answers to A and B are listed in the cryptic clue below.

Stop, Stop press: The plinth is back, but harder to climb now. So hopefully, DD's specs are safe. The clue has been revised (13.01.2006)
