Geocache Description:

Hidden on Traeth Penllech, one of the best beaches along the Llyn Peninsula. Lots of rocks, rock pools and a huge expanse of sand.

At the far end of the beach is Porth Sion Dafydd, a little beach tucked away behind rocky outcrops which can only be passed at low tide.

Parking is available in the car park on the small coast road (N 52º 52.461, W 004º 40.022). Access off the B4417 between Tudweiliog and Llangwnnadl. From here a short walk along a footpath will lead you on to the beach. Alternatively you could walk along the clifftop path towards the cache but you will need to drop down on to the beach before reaching the cache coordinates.

For a longer walk you could park at Porth Colmon (N 52º 52.520, W 004º 41.031), walking right along the cliff path which will reward you with stunning views.

The cache is a small plastic container, secured inside an outer box. You will probably spot it easy enough, but getting in and signing may take a little longer. Please take care as some scrambling is necessary and may be slippery in wet conditions. Please also replace the cache carefully.

Remember to check the tide times - at high tides access along the beach is not possible.
