30.1.2016 SÉRIE KONČÍ

2SBK7-Křížek v Bezdědicích

Sedmé zastavení série Vás dovedlo nejen do obce Bezdědice, ale hlavně na klidné místo k odlovu a zároveň hezkého výhledu na Vrátenskou horu a okolí. A to proto, že obec leží na skalní vyvýšenině nad údolím táhnoucím se od Bezdězského polesí až k řece Jizeře ve Středočeském kraji. Údolí tak rozděluje historicky i geograficky oblast Boleslavska a Mělnicka. První zmínka o obci je z roku 1337. Kostel, který právě vidíte, byl postaven v roce 1868 na místě původního, který vyhořel v roce 1859. Nový kostel byl zasvěcen sv. Václavovi. Jako stavební materiál bylo použito zbytků zvláštních gotických konzol. Je postaven v pseudorománském slohu s trojboce uzavřeným presbytářem a věží v západním průčelí. Oltářní obraz sv. Václava namaloval českolipský profesor na reálce Eduard Steffen podle obrazu malíře Josefa Vojtěcha Hellicha. V obci stojí doposud dva kříže v obci a jeden mimo. S jistotou lze konstatovat, že kříž před čp.10 byl před rokem 1929 umístěn před čp. 14. Kříž byl přemístěn od domu kováře Schantina k domu Josef Khýna. Vznikl ovšem problém s nápisem. Josef Khýn a okolní Češi chtěli změnit německý nápis na český. To ovšem vyvolalo negativní reakci u německé části obyvatelstva v čele se starostou. Vše se řešilo soudním sporem, ale výsledek není znám. Dnes už na křížku žádný nápis není. Druhý kříž v obci je před čp. 23, poslední z trojice se nachází pod obcí u cesty v zatáčce směrem na Bezděz a vznikl kolem roku 1869. První a třetí kříž se dostaly do středu zájmu obce v roce 1879, kdy v souvislosti s oslavami stříbrné svatby císařského páru, byly za účasti obecní i školní rady osazeny u křížků lípy.
