Nearby Boeing/Rocketdyne has been instrumental in the
United States success in the exploration of space. Explorer,
Mercury, Apollo, Saturn, and Space Shuttle to name a few were
lifted into orbit with their engines. Nearby residents have been
treated for decades to the roar of the engines during test
firing.
Burro Flats, a Chumash celestial site is also
located nearby on Boeing/Rocketdyne property. Additional

The original Sage Ranch Park cache
(GC2CC) is located nearby, please do not attempt to take the direct
route between these two caches. There is a spur trail at N34 14.446
W118 41.068 leading to this cache from the main Sage Ranch loop
trail.
