Moons over my hammy! Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

NHsummitseakersx3: This one is being put to bed now.

I again want to thank everyone who came out. I also want to thank the many who have since the event given me such positive feedback.

Congradulations are in order to Fezziwig377 and FabStar for winning the coins. How did they manage to guess Steph's birthday to the date? I didn't think I had posted it anywhere on the geocaching web site.

Until next winter, so long, and good night!

Geocache Description:

Ok, it's not really a Moons over my hammy event! It really is the Moon over Monadnock event!

We will be meeting at 9pm to climb to the summit of Mount Monadnock, the most climbed mountain in North America.

If you have ever been above treeline on a full moon winter night you know that head lights are optional!

This event will be for experience hikers who are properly equiped! Be prepared for temps at or below zero and for deep snow.

Snowshoes, crampons, and or stablicers may all be needed, hence why this is a Terrain rating of 5!

I will be bringing a stove and hot chocolate for everyone, but please bring an insulated travel mug to be served in.

This will be a great meet and greet. Once we get to the summit the log book will be passed out and everyone signing in will get to log the event. (Sorry, you can't show up at the parking and then leave and log the event) There will be a quick raffle, some stories will be told and maybe even some short classes on winter survival or some other useful information will be shared.

I will be releasing more information in the next few weeks including where we will be parking, there are many choices to pick from.

The weather make up date will be the same time, but on Saturday the 23rd. I will be posting the week leading up to the event the forecast, and those who have confirmed can all decide together who is planning on going!

FYI PLEASE SEE DATE CHANGE! ALSO UPDATE DIFFICULTY RATING
