To shorten the circuit to 3 miles and miss out two steep hills, go directly from cache #8 to cache #17.
To shorten it to just over 4 miles and miss out one steep hill, go directly from cache #13 to cache #17.
More details are given in the descriptions for caches #8 and #13.
There is free parking available [P1] in Church road next to Woldingham station. However, on weekdays this rapidly fills up with commuters. Parking at the station itself is pay & display.
An alternative is to park at the Tydcombe road / Bug hill junction in Warlingham [P2] and start with cache #14.
If arriving by Train at Woldingham you need to do the circuit in reverse to avoid leaving yourself a long trek to the bonus cache.
Come out of the 'back' of the station (i.e. go West), descend to the road and turn right to start with cache #19. If you're doing the 3 mile route just locate the path around the edge of the golf course beyond cache #17 and follow it to the start of the climb up to #8.
If you want to do the full circuit it's more complicated - from #17 go around the edge of the golf course to cache #9 and then continue anticlockwise around the golf course loop, this avoids having to backtrack at the multi (#12). When you finish the loop by claiming cache #16, walk past #17 (That you've already done) along to the climb up to #8 and continue around the rest of the circuit.
Got all that?, Good. It makes a lot more sense if you look at a map.
The majority of the containers are micros but there are several smalls and a regular to be found for placing geocoins and TB swaps.
None of the caches contain pens, please bring your own writing implement.
There is also a bonus cache whose location is contained in clues on logbooks around the circuit. Be sure to note the clues as you find them.
The clues for the bonus cache are available when starting from either parking place and are also available when undertaking either of the shortened circuits.
