One found out that this landscape was built due to diffent volcano eruptions, which were the same that created the southern edges of the Island. Recent studies suggest that the ejected whitish hill material was part of a cloud of smoke and ashes, with the enormous force hurled from the volcano and fell down from a great height, a repeatedly interrupted rain deposited on the ground. The grains were combined together and formed a thick layer of highly sensitive land. Later on another eruption covered the previous deposits with more resistant materials. Ever since, the forces of erosion have shaped the mountains of cindars and stones into this magnificant sculpture.

2. What is the specific name of the material of these sculptures?
3. What do you think, how the erosion has formed the sculptures?
4. Make a sketch of the landscape and post the coordinates and the direction/angle (true North) of your position.
