Hard Rock Hotel Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Grizsly Bear: I received a message that a geocacher could not find it. I checked a few minutes ago and it is gone. Work was performed that changed the profile of the hiding place, rendering it too open. No trackable items were in it at the time that it was removed.

Geocache Description:

This cache container is large for a Small but not large enough to be considered Regular. It is large enough to be used as a travel bug hotel. It is in a business park. Night searching is not recommended. Do not attempt to access from Bath Road.

When I attended the IEEE EMC Symposium in Chicago in August 2005 at the Navy Pier I stayed at a hotel with the same name as this geocache and walked to the Symposium every morning. When I was looking for a spot to place the cache, I immediately recalled that hotel name when I saw the geological features of this hiding place. This geocache is close to the southernmost end of ASCOT Parkway about 11 feet from the curb.

The cache has a cord tied to it to keep the cache from being inadvertently relocated to an unknown location. Keep the cord low so that it is not visible and tuck it in if it gets exposed.

Congratulations to BeaFrog for being the First to Find!
