Castle Park Kids Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

scoobydooers: Stopped by to check on this cache. while the cache was there, the park was not. somebody stole the entire park, (actually the town has removed it and is planning on building something else.)
with no reason to bring geocachers to an empty parking lot I thought it was time to archive this cache and open the area up to someone else. it was a good run and i really enjoyed reading about the adventures of people who went to look for the cache. many people got their start geocacheing from this cache. some even found it sans GPS.
Thanks to everyone who help make this a great cache

Geocache Description:

Pack a lunch and bring the whole family

Scooby loves to have fun, and also loves parks. So to satisfy her craving for fun at a park we decided to invite everyone to one of our most favorite parks in the world. Castle Park. Castle park is one of the original parks of its kind. built in the early 90’s totally from donations and volunteer labor, this park was featured on TV. The castle is divided into areas, or sections. one area is designed for smaller kids with smaller slides, swings, and steps, while a connecting bridge made of planks and chains leads you towards areas of the castle with larger slides. hidden within the laboriths is an annunciation system, see if you can find both ends! Built in galleries of benches allow the elders to sit and chat while still keeping an eye on the kids. There are 5 castle wings, 4 slides, and many hiding places to explore. Now the hard part. If you can pry the kids away from the castle for a little while I will make it worth their while. Hidden a few hundred feet away I have placed a Briansnat box ( waterproof box that looks a lot like an 50 cal ammo box except this is a kids cache) absolutely filled to the top with great things. I mean we went all out and spared no expense stocking this one. The original contents contains something for everyone. a working lighthouse, sunglasses, decks of cards, water cameras , dolls, cars, and toys of all kinds, we even have a coupon book . The cache is hidden very close to the edge of the woods, and very close to the trails in order to make it Kid friendly. you wont have to worry about getting wet, jumping over anything, or getting muddy. Please try to rehide carefully.
