The cache is located near the
south end of the Sakonnet Greenway Trail, around the Newport
National Golf Course. Please park at the trail head at coordinates
given. Enjoy a nice flat walk on this expanding land conserved for
open space on Aquidneck Island.
With the recent expansion, you can now walk all the way around
the Newport National Golf Course, then head North and walk to Glen
Farm, with only two small road crossings. Or from a cacher's
perspective, you can now walk from this cache to "Sakonnet Greenway Trail 1". And if you do, you
can grab all the Greenway Trail caches plus "A Whole Lotta
Greens"!
There's a neat little pond at the cache site, and two very
attractive stone bridges. Coordinates may be a little off (GPSr was
a little wonky when I took the coordinates) but the hint will help.

No short cuts, please. The trail does abut private properties,
and some portions are actually easements on private property, so
please follow the trail and the posted rules. Also please note
there are electric fences near the trail, so watch the little
ones.
Please do not park where you shouldn't (such
as in locations clearly marked as "Private Property" with "No
Trespassing" signs). As described in the listing, parking and
access to the trails via any path other than the one noted in the
Additional Waypoint section, is over private property. I do not
want to jeopardize anything. Thanks.
