Geocache Description:

Hidden in the over-grown entrance of a Mayan cave in the heart of the Yucatan., A lone alux (Mayan leprechaun) guards the stone treasure chest in which the cache resides. Place the stone lid back correctly so water does not enter the chest...and creepy crawlers do not enter.

On private property...ask first to search. No tools needed to uncover the cache. Stone chest Probe with a stick before putting your hand in the bushes. Who knows what other guardians might be living there? "Beware! Hidden in a stone treasure chest and guarded by a lone alux. Alux can best be described as Mayan leprechaun. Pay homage to the alux with an offering of masa or atole. They are usually benign but have been know to carry off people to the jungle, never to be seen again. A Mayan friend recently told us his father was taken to the jungle by the alux for five days. The alux fed him, but took all of his clothing, before letting him go, with no memory of the abduction."
