The picnic activities will begin after an all you can eat breakfast event.
So bring your yourself, your family, your friends, or your casual acquaintances along with lawn chairs and some family friendly beverages to help us celebrate 16 years of geocaching. Plans are being made to make this picnic bigger and better then ever. We'll be bringing back favorite activities from previous years and raising the bar on an all new (optional, of course) Scavenger Hunt.
ACTIVITY SCHEDULE:
- 11:00am to 2:00pm - Kansas Candle Dash (Are you competitive or do you just want to have some fun?) The rules are here and you can register here.
- 2:00pm to 4:00pm - Silent Auction
- 3:00pm - Balloon Toss
11:00am to ??? - 'Survey Says' how acccurate is your GPS?- 2:30pm - Kid's Pinata
- 4:30pm to 4:45pm - Group Photo
- 5:00pm to 6:00pm - Picnic Meal (If you are interested in purchasing a meal, click here.)
- 6:00pm - Winner Announcements
There will be a trackable table (to show off your treasures), raffles, kids' caches, sticker game and the always fun geobingo! Put this cache on your watch list or come back often to see additional activities being planned.
You can now click here to register for the picnic and purchase any souveniers of the picnic. T-Shirts must be ordered no later than Aug. 8th.
Donations: Attendance to this event is free for everyone, so in order to offset picnic costs, donations are welcomed. Any cache related items (quilts, coins, trackables, baskets, books, GPSr's, etc.) will be raffled off or placed in the silent auction. Contact a committee member if you'd like to donate anything in advance. As always, we thank you for your generosity.
OTHER EVENTS RELATED TO THIS PICNIC
There will be 15 additional events in August leading up to celebrate our 16th year! Each of the 15 events will have a drawing for a $10 gift card and those 15 winners will go into a drawing for the grand prize given out during the picnic. You must be present to win for each drawing so try and attend as many events as you can. Come out and join us as we celebrate 16 years of picnic fun in the KC area.
