Geocache Description:

This multi-cache is situated in the Wiltshire countryside between Corsham and the enchanting village of Lacock, in the valley around Thingley. The origin of the word Thingley was Saxon, for ' meeting place of men' The cache consists of one virtual step which will give the co-ordinates to the final physical cache which is a painted 2.6 litre plastic container

At the first location which is at the above grid reference you are required to locate 'Harry'. Harry was a soldier who served in the Royal Army Medical Corps, who died on the 26th September 1941. It is interesting to note that the motto of the RAMC is 'In Arduis Fidelis', this could also be an apt motto for a person who carries out geocaching - 'Faithful in Adversities'.

What was Harry's Regimental Number? Take these seven numbers, number them as A B C D E F G. Now solve the following equation by substituting the bracketed letters to get the co-ordinates to the physical cache.

N 51°. (e - g) (c - b - g). (c - a) (d + g) (b + e - f) W 002°. (c - b - d - e) (c + a - d - e - g). (e - g) (b - d) (d + e + g)

Excellent, now find the physical cache which is a 2.6L plastic lock box in a camo bag. When replacing the cache please ensure it is hidden from view, best you can due to teenagers often exploring in this location.
