Need vehicle with reasonable ground clearance. Two wheel drive OK. Mountain Bike, Horseback, backcountry ski, SnoGo or dogteam all OK, too.
Take Goldstream Valley out of Fairbanks. Head up Murphy Dome Road, 8.8 miles paved and 6.2 miles gravel. Turn left towards Chatanika River, 5.7 miles over moderately rough road over several domes covered with blueberries. Note views of Alaska Range, Mt. Denali, Minto Flats, Murphy Dome, Ester Dome, White Mountains, and Tolavana and Ray Mountains. Awesome blueberries on every dome in season (late July-early August). Possible in winter (plowed except last 5.7 miles). No food in box please, this is bear country. Keep box upright, gasket questionable.
