Geocache Description:

Come join us as we take a relaxing paddle on the waters of the Duxbury Back River on the evening of July 13th 2012.

Meet us at the Powder Point Bridge between 6-6:30 p.m. To get there take Rt 3 to exit 11 - take Rt 14 east - at one point, it will fork to the right, so don't go straight onto Rt 139. About 2 miles after exiting the highway, Rt 14 ends at Rt 3A. Go straight through the lights there and continue on that road (St. George Street) about a mile until it ends at Washington Street. Take a left and then a right onto Powder Point Ave. Follow this until you get to the Powder Point Bridge. There is parking on the right. Parking space is limited, so if you can share a ride with someone, please do.

We'll launch around 6:30 as the tide reaches it's peak. We'll paddle north and visit the estuaries, take in the wildlife, and maybe a cache or two. Coming back we'll have a spectacular sunset to enjoy (hopefully). For those who can't make the paddle, join us at the parking area before or after to socialize and sign the event log.
